These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Elavo mobile application (the "App"), provided by Elavo ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Elavo is intended for adults (18+) coordinating care for a family member or loved one (the "Patient"). If you set up a Patient's profile, you confirm you have the authority to do so and to enter information on their behalf.
The Patient's own device and profile are typically set up by a family member. By setting up a Patient's device, you agree to these Terms on the Patient's behalf as well, to the extent the Patient uses the App.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us right away at the contact below if you suspect unauthorized access.
You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete my account). If you're the admin/creator of a Patient's profile, deleting your account permanently deletes that Patient's profile and all associated content — see the in-app warning before confirming.
You retain ownership of the content you create in Elavo — messages, photos, memories, journal entries, medication notes, Care Compass answers and notes, and similar content ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it within the App as necessary to provide the service (e.g., showing a memory you shared to other members of the care Circle).
You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it (e.g., you have permission to post a photo of someone). Don't submit content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have permission to share.
If you choose to connect a third-party account (such as Microsoft OneDrive) to import photos, that connection is also subject to the third party's own terms of service — you're responsible for complying with those in addition to these Terms.
Some features require a paid subscription, billed through the Apple App Store.
Elavo is a care-coordination tool, not a healthcare provider. Information in the App (diagnosis notes, medication reminders, journal entries, etc.) is provided by you and other users for your own convenience. Elavo does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and should never be used as a substitute for professional medical care. If you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately — do not rely on the App.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The App itself — its design, code, trademarks, and branding — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the App as intended.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elavo and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, missed reminders, or reliance on information shared through the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App, with notice where reasonably possible.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [FILL IN — your state/jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
